Stage Two Classes
MUSICAL THEATRE - Song & Dance
Tapping toes and lively songs fill the theatre with this medley of Broadway show tunes. Rounding out the musical theatre experience, students learn breath control while combining dance steps and vocals. Navigating the stage smoothly, adding transition movement to avoid bumping into your partner, how to adjust to spacing on stage and partner dancing are all part of the fun in musical theatre. Vocalists will work on pitch and breath control, sight reading, harmonies, volume, and vocal cord health. Using Broadway show tunes from shows like Beauty and the Beast, Little Mermaid, Shrek, Aladdin, and Lion King, students will explore how to use their voice and breathing to increase volume and improve diction.
ROCK THE STAGE - Advanced Acting
This class is designed for those who have been in an acting class or show previously and have a strong desire to improve their stage skills. Actors will focus on improvisation, character and emotional development through monologues, scenes and play analysis. This class will help your student gain confidence onstage and off while expanding their skills as a team player for the purpose of rehearsal, audition, or a career path in the theatre arts.
