Upstart Crow Studios will admit students of any race, color, national and ethnic origin to the rights, privileges, programs and activities generally accorded or made available to students at the studios. It does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, national and ethnic origin in administration of its educational policies, admissions policies, scholarship programs and other school-administered programs.
Upstart Crow Studios believes every child needs to develop a deep sense of self-esteem to become a critical thinker and to understand the value of teamwork, as essential life skills. Our policy is that every child plays a role, regardless of the challenges they may face.
Tuition is due at the time of registration. Sliding scale scholarships are available through an application process. Please complete your scholarship application prior to registration. Families will be notified of any scholarship award by email. Award amounts are determined by need. At the time of registration, you may elect to pay your balance in full, or to create an installment plan with a credit card on file. Students may not enroll in a subsequent class, workshop, private lesson or production unless all previous balances have been paid in full.
We do not pro-rate for missed classes. If you notifiy us that your child is withdrawing from a class after it begins, some of the tuition is refundable, less $25 deposit per class. The deposit sets up an account for the student, covers the preparation of materials and secures teaching staff. Any withdrawals after the second week, tuition will be refunded or credited to your account, less $25. The amount of the refund/credit will be determined by the number of classes or rehearsals attended or unexcused absences, cost of materials, costumes and staff time prior to the withdrawal. We have class minimums. Should a class not have the minimum number of students registered, you will be contacted with an alternative class, change of day/time, or a refund/credit.
Please contact the office if your child is ill and unable to attend class. There are no refunds for missed classes or rehearsals.
